Dear Parents/Guardians
Well what a few months its been, thanks again so so much for sticking with us we can’t wait to get back to ‘Normal-ish’ We’ve been working hard in the holidays to make sure that we can re-open on the 7th of September and with a little wiggling and jiggling we are finally sorted! Hooray.

There are some important changes you all need to be aware of so please take your time to read this letter thoroughly.

Temporary Change of Location
Holt classes will re-start at The Holt Youth Project, Old station way, Holt Norfolk NR25 6DH. This is due to unavailability at the church hall. Thanks to Lisa P for putting a good word in for us!

Reepham and Hevingham lessons will be as Normal at Stimpsons piece, Bartle Ct Reepham NR104LL and Hevingham Village hall, Brick kiln rd, Hevingham, NR105NL.

A full risk assessment will be submitted to each venue.

Covid Requirements
We are so looking forward to welcoming our Parallel family back but to ensure we do so safely and Stay Back we have to follow some new rules and procedures.

We have made changes to the timetable (below and on website) to minimise crossover of groups where possible. This might mean if you do multiple classes they are on one day instead of two.

No parents or adults will be allowed into the studios with the exception of Babies Ballet at Hevingham. This is due to numbers allowed in hall and to reduce number of contacts. Parents and guardians will be asked to pick up and drop children at the door. They can of course wait in the car park or return later for collection.

We know this will be frustrating for some of you but its essential for our re-opening.

All students must check and update if necessary their contact number name and address on Class manager. If you haven’t registered at Class Manager yet go to https://app.classmanager.com/portal/parallel-dance/loginYou will also need this log in if we were to go back into lockdown and have to revert to online learning. This is so we have your emergency contact number but also for the Governments track and trace.

On entry and exits to class students will be asked to use the antibacterial gel supplied and wash their hands thoroughly when using the toilet. Only one student at a time will be allowed in the toilet.

The venues will be cleaned before and after classes and because of this and PPE we will need to add a 50p subsidiary to lessons.

Lessons will now cost £5.50 per hour or £5 for 45mins.

During Lessons students will be allocated a spot on the floor which will be a minimum of 1 meter away from adjacent dancers. Students will be taught during the first lessons about their dance space and you never know it might even help with our formations!

For the time being there will be no contact between students or teacher.
We will not be able to administer first aid at this time but will have a self service first aid box on site for minor injuries. Parents will be contacted should the student need further medical attention.

In an emergency situation Lucy would intervene but if you would rather her not please let us know.

Please make sure any inhalers or other medicines are brought in a sealed named plastic bag.

Lucy will be wearing a Face shield or Face covering, dancers may wish to wear one too but they will not be compulsory.

The dance spaces will be ventilated with open windows so you may want to wear slightly warmer dancewear to compensate.

Each dancer will be given a chair/space on entry where they can leave bags/coats.

Dancers need only bring their change of footwear/clothing and a drink, if you are bringing snacks please do not share with other dancers.

Water should be brought in their own named bottle as there will be no communal facilities at this time.

In the case of a second lockdown we will revert back to online learning via our Zoom platform through class manager.

A backup zoom timetable can be found below so no lesson time will be lost on reorganisation.

By attending lessons at Parallel you agree to abiding by the above conditions and whilst we will do our upmost to maintain a healthy environment  we can’t guarantee any absolutes. We reserve the right to change or amend our policies in line with government guidelines and any unforeseen circumstances.

Fees
Fees must be paid half termly and in full via Paypal or Bank transfer, sorry but we cannot accept cash at this time. An invoice will be sent out on the second week ( 14th September) and must be paid promptly.
