    Welcome back, we hope you had a great break, the lead up to Christmas is always a busy time for Parallel and this year is no different, competitions, light switch ons and the parallel examinations to name but a few so here’s a run down of what you need to know this term!

    Dates for your Diary
    18th November – Castle Mall Light Switch On
    24th November – UK Street Dance Championships Harrow (Separate Letter)
    3rd December – Parallel Awards Week ( examinations)
    10th December – Parallel Christmas Party Week

    There will also be a Workshop opportunity during the last week of term. More details will follow.

    IZettle Card Payment
    Parallel is getting faster, with payments that is, thanks to our new mobile card machine you can now make secure and fast payments in class. Please make sure you still bring in your invoice and that all fees are paid by the second week of term 9th of November. We will still be accepting Cash, cheque and bank transfers.

    Castle Mall Switch On
    Meet at 1.30pm outside New Look on lower level of Castle Mall. Ready to dance for 2pm finished by 3pm. We are dancing outside as they have decided to do a parade this year instead at 4.30pm so make sure you have warm clothes to put on after you perform.

    Parallel Awards
    This first term will be focused on our parallel dance awards examinations. The assessment will be conducted during the last week of term. These are not supposed to be stressful exams just a way of recognising your child’s progress and achievements and who doesn’t love a certificate.

    Clothing
    Don’t forget to get your orders in for Christmas Lucy will be taking orders week commencing 5th November. We would like every child to wear at least one piece of uniform to class. Ballet students must wear a leotard tights or leggings with a skirt or shorts. Orders for clothing can be made at other times in the term but these will incur an additional cost.
