Dear Parents & Carers
I am writing to inform you that we have identified a suspected case of COVID-19 within Parallel Dance studios.
Whilst this case is not yet confirmed its our duty to let you know whilst we wait on further test results.. The student is from our Reepham site on a Thursday night.
All other classes are not affected by this because they are in different ‘bubbles’ and will not have come into close contact with the person who has tested positive in.
Because of our social distancing measures, ventilation and hygiene procedures the majority of students in the Thursday class would not have been deemed close contact. If your child was deemed close contact we will be in touch separately.
Lucy takes flow tests every other day to ensure your child’s safety.
Please continue to follow the government guidelines in case you or a member of your household shows any symptoms.
The advice from Public Health England is listed on the DfE and NHS websites:
A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature).
A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot more than an hour, or three or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).
A loss or change to your senses of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.
If you or your child show symptoms, please make sure that you get a COVID-19 test and that you inform the school if they have a positive result.
Although such cases are to be expected, it is still upsetting for the community to hear such news and we send our best wishes to the family and those affected a full speedy recovery.
We understand this is an anxious time and we will continue to communicate with you and want to thank you for your continued support.
Thanks Emma and Lucy
