• End of term.

    Dear Parents/Guardians

It seems like we’ve only just got back into the swing of things but the end of term is looming. We can’t thank you and the children enough. The students have shown great adaptability with the changes to lessons and we’ve had a really enjoyable term. We have lots to look forward to including a fantastic Showcase ‘Myths and Legends’ on the 20th and 21st of November. Get the dates in your diary now.

Over the Summer holidays we will be hosting some fab professional workshops each week. Starting with Showtime circus on the 29th of July for some aerial acrobatics. The full timetable will be available on social media and class manager soon.

    End of Term Arrangements

Lessons will finish on the 20th of July this is to accommodate the two postponed lessons. As is tradition students last lessons will be an end of term ‘PARTAY’ where they can dress up in their own clothes or sparkly party gear. We usually invite parents to bring a contribution to the buffet. This year however due to covid if you would like to bring something please make sure its individually/pre- wrapped. For example, Multipack crisps, Mini chocolate rolls, cheese strings etc.

    Covid Requirements

Until we know more after ‘Freedom Day’ we are bound by current restrictions. No parents or adults will be allowed into the studios with the exception of Babies Ballet at Hevingham and Holt. This is due to max occupancy restrictions and to reduce the number of contacts. Parents and guardians will be asked to pick up and drop children at the door. They can of course wait in the car park or return later for collection.

All students must check and update if necessary their contact number name and address on Class manager. If you haven’t signed up to Class Manager yet go to https://app.classmanager.com/portal/parallel-dance/login

All students will need to complete a new medical form and photography consent form. Parallel Dance studios is committed to protecting the rights and freedoms of individuals with respect to the processing of children’s, parents, visitors and staff personal data. Our data protection policy can be found on the website. www.paralleldance.co.uk

We will not be able to administer first aid at this time but will have a self service first aid box on site for minor injuries. Parents will be contacted should the student need further medical attention. In an emergency situation Lucy would intervene but if you would rather her not please let us know. Please make sure any inhalers or other medicines are brought in a sealed named plastic bag.

Lucy will be wearing a Face shield or Face covering when a distance of 2 meters cannot be maintained, dancers may wish to wear one too but they will not be compulsory. The dance spaces will be ventilated with open windows so you may want to wear slightly warmer dancewear to compensate. look out for our new Signature dance range launching soon.

Each dancer will be given a chair/space on entry where they can leave bags/coats. Dancers only need to bring their change of footwear/clothing and a drink, if you are bringing snacks please do not share with other dancers. Water should be brought in their own named bottle as there will be no communal facilities at this time.

By attending lessons at Parallel you agree to abiding by the above conditions and whilst we will do our upmost to maintain a healthy environment we can’t guarantee any absolutes. We reserve the right to change or amend our policies in line with government guidelines and any unforeseen circumstances.

On entry and exits to class students will be asked to use the antibacterial gel supplied and wash their hands thoroughly when using the toilet. Only one student at a time will be allowed in the toilet. The venues will be cleaned before and after classes and because of this and PPE we will need to add a 50p subsidiary to lessons. Thanks for your understanding.
